Warsaw, Poland – August 19, 2016: The grave of Władysław Szpilman (December 5, 1911 – July 6, 2000), a Polish pianist and classical composer, at the Powązki Military Cemetery in Warsaw, Poland. Szpilman’s life under German occupation during World War II was portrayed in the 2002 Roman Polanski film The Pianist.
