Depuis plus de 50 ans, j’observe un antijudaïsme et un antisémitisme grandissant basé sur la méconnaissance de l’histoire, d’une religion victime de l’absurde condamnation de déicide faite par l’église catholique, condamnation ancrée dans la mémoire collective et qui fait du peuple juif l’exutoire facile de nos frustrations.
N’avons-nous rien appris des manipulations exercées par les ignorants et les pouvoirs totalitaires, du Moyen-âge à Isabelle la Catholique au XVème siècle, en passant par les pogroms en Russie tout le long du 19ème siècle, de l’antisémitisme et de la judéophobie française symbolisée par l’Affaire Dreyfus, ou des persécutions exercées par les nazis et la tentative d’extermination du peuple juif par ces derniers ?
Depuis les conférences sur le Liban en 1983 et 1984 à Genève et à Lausanne auxquelles j’ai participé, j’observe ce décalage de plus en plus important entre les populations musulmanes manipulées par les potentats du Golfe et la haine propagée par « la secte de Khomeiny », j’emploie volontairement le terme de secte, tant celle-ci propage rumeurs, fausses informations, mensonges éhontés, rend responsable le peuple juif de toutes les atrocités de ce monde et légitime « Mein Kampf » d’Adolf Hitler en soutenant l’extermination d’Israël en finançant et en équipant tous les mouvements terroristes, suivant en cela le mufti de Jérusalem Haj Amin Al -Husseini, qui bénissait les « Einsatz gruppen » musulmans bosniaques sur le front de l’Est en incitant Hitler et les dirigeant nazis d’aller plus vite dans la « liquidation du peuple juif ».
Aujourd’hui encore, la charte du Hamas ne revendique-t-elle pas la destruction d’Israël et la création d’un Etat musulman vierge de tous juifs et de toutes autres religions, en exigeant un Etat religieux musulman régi par la Charia, dans lequel aucun droit pour les minorités et les femmes ne serait donné ? Si vous en doutez, regardez ce qui se passe en Afghanistan, en Iran, au Yémen et rappelez-vous que pour ces « Fous de Dieu» que les assassins enturbannés de Téhéran, « la parole donnée à un mécréant, n’engage en aucune manière le croyant qui l’a faite ! » selon les principes de la Taqqiya du Coran.
Je vous fais suivre ci-après les propos d’Adam Louis-Klein, doctorant en anthropologie de l’Université de Mc Gill qui peuvent nous aider à comprendre les manœuvres perverses et abominables du Hamas, pour lequel la mort d’innocents n’a aucune importance, si cela peut les aider à atteindre leurs objectifs mortifères.

… D’ici à ce que vous lisiez, ces lignes, il y aura peut-être suffisamment de preuves que le vent tourne pour le Hamas. Peut-être pas. Quoi qu’il en soit, en ce moment historiquement crucial, examinons la stratégie perfectionnée du Hamas pour manipuler – non seulement son propre peuple, mais aussi la perception du monde – cette instrumentalisation de la souffrance destinée à piéger Israël et à tromper le monde.
Dans la guerre contre le Hamas une vérité demeure, presque totalement absente du flot incessant de gros titres, d’images virales et de condamnations internationales : le Hamas a perfectionné une stratégie de double invisibilité. Il disparaît physiquement au sein de sa population et moralement dans le récit mondial.
Dans les deux cas, il utilise la souffrance qu’il produit délibérément comme bouclier.
La société du spectacle devient sa couverture. Sur le terrain, le Hamas efface systématiquement la frontière entre civils et combattants. Il implante ses forces dans les maisons, les hôpitaux et les écoles, il lance des roquettes depuis les terrains de Jeux, il ne porte pas d’uniforme, il stocke des armes dans les mosquées et les cliniques.
Il recrute activement des civils, des enfants des travailleurs humanitaires – journalistes – pour son effort de guerre plus large. Ce faisant, il s’assure que toute frappe militaire Israélienne, aussi précise, soit-elle, devient indiscernable d’une attaque contre des civils. Et puis il disparaît à nouveau, cette fois de l’histoire elle-même.
Dans la couverture, médiatique, les rapports de l’ONU et les discours universitaires, le Hamas est à peine mentionné. Sa responsabilité est occultée. Sa stratégie n’est pas examinée. Son existence même s’efface. Pendant ce temps, les images de souffrances orchestrées par le Hamas dominent l’imaginaire mondial.
Il en résulte une double contrainte parfaite : soit Israël se retiendra et perdra, soit il se défendra et sera accusé de génocide. Et plus les souffrances civiles sont grandes, plus la stratégie devient efficace.
Reconnaître le piège
Rien de tout cela ne signifie qu’Israël soit parfait. Israël peut tomber et tombe parfois dans le piège tendu par le Hamas. Mais c’est un piège soigneusement orchestré par le Hamas – et nous devons avoir la lucidité de le reconnaître pour ce qu’il est et de comprendre les contraintes extrêmes qu’il impose aux décisions militaires et morales d’Israël.
Le monde non seulement accepte ce piège, mais y participe volontairement. La structure de l’antisémitisme s’est enchâssée dans la machine de l’hystérie collective et de la production du spectacle ou la classe médiatique, militante et ONG mondiale devient un autre front dans la guerre contre la survie juive sans jamais remettre en question son rôle, ni sa complicité dans les souffrances auxquelles elle prétend s’opposer et, sans jamais proposer de solution pratique au-delà de sa posture morale.
Israël doit gagner, non pas parce qu’il est irréprochable, mais parce que céder à cette stratégie reviendrait à légitimer une forme de guerre qui détruit non seulement le droit, mais aussi la vérité. Et parce que le monde ne doit pas être autorisé à récompenser ceux qui se cachent derrière les souffrances dont ils sont complices.
La morale inversée de la propagande moderne
Tout cela est tordu et à sa manière, ingénieusement démoniaque. L’ingéniosité réside dans la construction d’un cadre moral, dans lequel tout acte de légitime défense d’Israël n’est pas simplement qualifié de « disproportionné », mais condamné comme un génocide – le plus grand crime !
Dans cette logique inversée, la seule voix, moralement, acceptable pour Israël, est de déposer les armes et de mourir. Étonnamment, la destruction d’Israël devient la seule réalisation logique de la « justice » et le seul moyen d’éviter un mal absolu.
De même que le nazisme n’exigeait pas de chacun une haine personnelle des juifs – seulement un déluge incessant de propagande pour justifier ses visées perverses – et de même que l’Union soviétique n’avait pas besoin d’une foi totale en son utopie, mais seulement d’un conformisme suffisant pour légitimer ces atrocités sous le couvert de l’égalité – cela ne suffit pas non plus. Il suffit de l’instinct grégaire. Le sentiment que « la majorité » doit avoir raison. Et suffisamment de saturation émotionnelle d’hystérie et de performance morale pour éroder la pensée indépendante. Comme l’a observé Hannah Arendt, « l’idéologie devient particulièrement dangereuse lorsque tout ce qui la contredit est non seulement faux, mais aussi inintelligible ! »
Survivre au nouveau totalitarisme
Nous assistons à l’émergence du totalitarisme en temps réel. C’est terrifiant, mais le peuple juif a déjà survécu bien pire, et je sais que nous survivrons également à cela !

The Emergence of Totalitarianism in Real Time
For over 50 years, I have observed growing anti-Judaism and anti-Semitism based on a lack of understanding of history, of a religion that has fallen victim to the absurd condemnation of deicide by the Catholic Church, a condemnation rooted in collective memory and which makes the Jewish people the easy outlet for our frustrations.
Have we learned nothing from the manipulations carried out by ignoramuses and totalitarian powers, from the Middle Ages to Isabella the Catholic in the 15th century, including the pogroms in Russia throughout the 19th century, from French anti-Semitism and Judeophobia symbolized by the Dreyfus Affair, or from the persecutions carried out by the Nazis and their attempted extermination of the Jewish people? Since the conferences on Lebanon in 1983 and 1984 in Geneva and Lausanne in which I participated, I have observed this increasingly significant gap between the Muslim populations manipulated by the Gulf potentates and the hatred propagated by « the Khomeini sect », I deliberately use the term sect, as it propagates rumors, false information, shameless lies, blames the Jewish people for all the atrocities of this world and legitimizes Adolf Hitler’s « Mein Kampf » by supporting the extermination of Israel by financing and equipping all terrorist movements, following in this the Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin Al-Husseini, who blessed the Bosnian Muslim « Einsatz gruppen » on the Eastern Front by inciting Hitler and the Nazi leaders to move faster in the « liquidation of the Jewish people ». Even today, doesn’t Hamas’s charter call for the destruction of Israel and the creation of a Muslim state free of all Jews and all other religions, demanding a Muslim religious state governed by Sharia law, in which no rights would be granted to minorities or women? If you doubt this, look at what’s happening in Afghanistan, Iran, and Yemen, and remember that for these « Madmen of God, » like the turbaned assassins of Tehran, « the word given to a non-believer in no way binds the believer who gave it! » according to the principles of the Quran’s Taqqiya.
I share below the words of Adam Louis-Klein, a doctoral student in anthropology at McGill University, which may help us understand the perverse and abominable maneuvers of Hamas, for whom the death of innocents is of no importance if it can help them achieve their deadly goals. ….By the time you read this, there may be sufficient evidence that the tide is turning for Hamas. Perhaps not. In any case, at this historically crucial moment, let’s examine Hamas’s refined strategy for manipulating—not only its own people, but also the world’s perception—this instrumentalization of suffering intended to trap Israel and deceive the world.
In the war against Hamas, one truth remains, almost entirely absent from the endless stream of headlines, viral images, and international condemnation: Hamas has perfected a strategy of double invisibility. It disappears physically among its population and morally from the global narrative.
In both cases, it uses the suffering it deliberately produces as a shield.
The society of the spectacle becomes its cover. On the ground, Hamas systematically erases the line between civilians and combatants. It embeds its forces in homes, hospitals, and schools, launches rockets from playgrounds, wears no uniform, and stores weapons in mosques and clinics.
It actively recruits civilians, the children of aid workers—journalists—for its broader war effort. In doing so, it ensures that any Israeli military strike, no matter how precise, becomes indistinguishable from an attack on civilians. And then it disappears again, this time from the story itself.
In media coverage, UN reports, and academic discourse, Hamas is barely mentioned. Its responsibility is obscured. Its strategy is unexamined. Its very existence is erased. Meanwhile, images of Hamas-orchestrated suffering dominate the global imagination.The result is a perfect double bind: either Israel will hold back and lose, or it will defend itself and be accused of genocide. And the greater the civilian suffering, the more effective the strategy becomes.
Recognizing the Trap
None of this means that Israel is perfect. Israel can, and sometimes does, fall into the trap set by Hamas. But it is a trap, carefully orchestrated by Hamas—and we must have the clarity to recognize it for what it is and understand the extreme constraints it imposes on Israel’s military and moral decisions.
The world not only accepts this trap, but willingly participates in it. The structure of antisemitism has become embedded in the machine of mass hysteria and the production of spectacle, where the global media, activist, and NGO class becomes another front in the war against Jewish survival without ever questioning its role or complicity in the suffering it claims to oppose, and without ever proposing a practical solution beyond its moral stance. Israel must win, not because it is blameless, but because giving in to this strategy would legitimize a form of warfare that destroys not only law but also truth. And because the world must not be allowed to reward those who hide behind the suffering in which they are complicit.
The Inverted Morality of Modern Propaganda
All of this is twisted and, in its own way, ingeniously demonic. The ingenuity lies in constructing a moral framework in which any act of self-defense by Israel is not simply labeled « disproportionate, » but condemned as genocide—the greatest crime!
In this inverted logic, the only morally acceptable course for Israel is to lay down its arms and die. Surprisingly, the destruction of Israel becomes the only logical realization of « justice » and the only way to avoid absolute evil. Just as Nazism didn’t require personal hatred of Jews from everyone—only a relentless barrage of propaganda to justify its perverse aims—and just as the Soviet Union didn’t require total faith in its utopia, only enough conformity to legitimize these atrocities under the guise of equality—this isn’t enough either. All that’s needed is the herd instinct. The sense that « the majority » must be right. And enough emotional saturation with hysteria and moral performance to erode independent thought. As Hannah Arendt observed, « Ideology becomes especially dangerous when everything that contradicts it is not only false but also unintelligible! »
Surviving the New Totalitarianism
We are witnessing the emergence of totalitarianism in real time. It’s terrifying, but the Jewish people have survived much worse, and I know we will survive this too!
